I had the privilege of joining a close friend of mine for her sister’s intimate wedding, held at the top of the American Eagle chair lift at Copper Mountain Resort, under the Nature Center. What a gorgeous view, fun couple, sweet family, perfect day, the list goes on….! Something about this truly special day shared among only the closest of family spoke volumes about the love they have for one another. Congratulations!

One of my most favorite parts about shooting weddings is the travel. I’ve been to so many places I probably wouldn’t have gone had I not shot a wedding there. There’s nothing like an absolutely, positively, awesomely amazing wedding venue! One that lends itself well to a ton of photos in a contained space; one that has great light inside or out; one that has breathtaking mountain views; one that is worth the drive, no matter how long or hard it is. These are the places I’ve been so lucky to see this summer.

You’d never know it was a scorcher out on Katilin & Connor’s wedding day – the ladies kept it together and the bride was stunning. Rain cooled off the evening, and after the ceremony we found a huge willow tree and some gorgeous late afternoon magic hour light. Beautiful people + beautiful setting = awesome wedding. Congrats!

Considering all of the rainy days we’ve had in the mountains this summer, Lindsay & Jess’ wedding day in Breckenridge was arguably one of the most beautiful days. After a little hiccup and a delayed ceremony, the couple finally sealed their vows with a kiss under a gorgeous golden sky. Congratulations!!

The drive to Piney River Ranch is absolutely awful – and worth it. Laura & Tom shared their vows in front of an amazing landscape of a lake and mountains in the distance. Sunset was perfect. Family and friends laughed and smiled from start to finish, and the hula-hoops, games, photo booth and music kept everybody entertained. Awesome couple, beautiful wedding, just another day at work.

They say rain on your wedding day brings good luck. Barbara and Roger are so incredibly lucky since they had rain four different times throughout their Ski Cooper wedding! The clouds parted just in time for the ceremony, and the evening skies brought a gorgeous sunset. Just another typical weather day in the mountains for a beautiful, unique couple to share their new beginning and celebrate mountainside with friends and family.

“Caleb? Do you like what you see? Then put a ring on it!”
And so Caleb and Chandra sealed their vows and exchange of rings on their Colorado ranch wedding yesterday. I could NOT wait to share a sneak peek (something a bit better than what Instagram will allow), so here are a few quick favorites from the day… more to come later of course!

The clouds rolled in just in time to cool off the afternoon for Meghann & Josh’s golf course wedding at Twin Peaks Golf Course (though the humidity didn’t leave us so quickly). She rode up in a golf cart with her dad to the ceremony, held on the 11th tee box overlooking a pond and mountains in the background. Fun location, fun couple!

After an extended pattern of snow storms in late April, Mother Nature finally decided to turn on the sun (and the warmth!) for Melissa & Nolan’s Big Day. They exchanged vows at Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield – one of my most favorite little venues to shoot at. The two could hardly wait for the day to come, and after looking through their photos it’s clear they were nothing but excited to make it official.
